Who am I?

In one sentence: passionate about high-quality printing technologies. In the extension: printer, technologist, engineer and designer. For over 2 years I worked in the research and development centre (R & D) of HP, Indigo Division in Israel. I developed the 5 and 7 colour printing technology using light grey. I have 3 patent applications with full technological purity. For over 15 years I’ve been delivering prints to the highest quality artists, and for several years I’ve been printing reproductions of Fryderyk Chopin’s manuscripts. I design my own screenings, develop paint formulas and create multi-tone separations. I gladly share my knowledge and experience during training.
Hello, I’m Marcin Dąbrowski.

Printing industry is fascinating field. Although beautifully made prints require a lot of work if their ought to be created in controlled way and with certain repeatability. It’s really a world that changes constantly, evolves. Significant part of tools essential in my work I created myself from scratch: image processing algorithms, colour (ICC) profiles, separation curves, hue and lightness of inks or even screening. All those elements I made step by step, throughout years. Each decision and step was done based on multiple trials and practical work. Thousands of printed books. Each and every one different. Numerous quantities of mixed ink outside Pantone colour swatch. A6-size postcards containing 4 types of screening, each done individual. Jobs with different ICC profile for each side of each sheet.
I’m Marcin Dąbrowski and I’m in printing industry. I make image pretty, natural and pleasant to the eye. Although I hear a lot that it’s just perfect.

Marcin is a huge fan of printing and a phenomenon in the field of combining technique and artistic thinking. He grew up in a photographic family and that’s how love for the picture began. He is the only Pole who became a member of the prestigious ICC (International Color Consortium) organization responsible for implementing colour management systems.
He has worked many times on international projects. He was responsible for the printouts of prestigious GAGA Models calendars, Chopin manuscripts and photographs of many outstanding photographers.
